Conference Venue
The third Annual Conference of the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Speech and Language Technologies and their Applications will be hosted in the University of Sheffield's newly opened The Wave building.
Arrival
Please enter The Wave via the main entrance on the corner of Whitham Road (A57) and Northumberland Road opposite Weston Park Hospital. You will find signs guiding you to the Conference Reception desk.
Upon arrival, please visit the Conference Reception desk to collect your name badge. You will then be directed to tea, coffee, juice, and pastries prior to the first session which starts at 9:30.
Fire Alarms and Safety
The weekly fire alarm test is not expected during the conference. Therefore, if the fire alarm sounds for a prolonged period during the event please evacuate the building by the nearest fire exit. The fire assembly point is at the rear of the car park.

Directions
On foot or public transport:
The Wave is about a 25 minute walk from Sheffield city centre.
The Wave is well served by a number of bus services (including the 51, and 52) and close to the tram route. Use Travel South Yorkshire’s www.travelsouthyorkshire.com to plan your journey from anywhere in the UK to the Centre.
Supertram can be used to reach The Wave from the Railway Station, although please be aware that there is still a 10-15 minute uphill walk from the nearest stop (University).
By Car:
Parking is available in the Q Park Car Park on Durham Road which is a 5 minute walk away.
